UNICAL UPDATES

*ON JAMB CHANGE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION & UNICAL 2017 Admissions*

*Good morning and happy midweek my blessed family. I want to use this medium to advise all of you calling me or asking me about JAMB change of course/institution forms....To be very patient, as that HAS NOT STARTED YET........JAMB will reopen the portal for this in no long time, so relax your mind and keep watching because as soon as its opened, I shall quickly draw everybody's attention to that as usual....*

*ON UNICAL ADMISSION SCREENING FORM FOR THIS YEAR*

*I still want to remind you all that UNICAL have not released any admission form for this year, Be it a "screening form" or a "POST UTME" form. So, that rubbish you are seeing almost every where on social media here is a fake news and is not coming from UNICAL here. If you take a good look at that rubbish news, that was last year's admission screening form news and not that of this year..............However,  UNICAL is just waiting for JAMB to release her admission modalities for this year, and also forward the data of those that chose UNICAL and made her their first choice, to them.............From  a reliable source in UNICAL, especially from the registry's office, I have been told that UNICAL will still conduct "SCREENING" as it was done last year and not "POST-UTME" meaning you ain't Writting anymore exams to get admission, you'll have to submit all relevant credentials during your screening and not written exam (it's a physical screening therefore you have to behave yourself on the day of your screenimg else you might be sent away)...... So dear, Just relax and wait for the time to reach................UNICAL  admission screening form will probably be out by the 3rd week of this July or latest, 1st week of August (depending when JAMB will do their stakeholders meeting and forward names to UNICAL)........Her first admission list will be released by September/October via JAMB portal while the General admission list(s) will be released by November/December via her undergraduate portal........... I shall still keep us informed as things unfolds.*

*FOR THOSE OF YOU ASKING ME HOW UNICAL  ADMISSION SCREENING IS DONE*

*In UNICAL admission screening, especially from what happened last year, aspirants were only asked to go and buy the form online. So, When filling your form online, you simply fill other little things (your bio data, Utme score, ssce grades, residential address and your signature) online and finally print out your acknowledgement slip, then wait for your screening result which will be out in not less than a month or so.......Adter that, UNICAL  will start compiling admission list immediately*

*FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT SAT FOR NECO THIS YEAR*

*UNICAL will reopen her screening registration office (UNICAL Zellence Office) for you people, you'll have to come back to Calabar to submit or probably send someone in school to help you submit it (I'll be available for that service, so you don't need to panic if you don't have anyone in UNICAL) ONLY whenever your NECO result comes out. That was how it was done last year......... so, if you applied for NECO this year and you also applied for UNICAL this year, Just go ahead and purchase UNICAL screening form whenever it comes out and put AWAITING RESULT. By the time your NECO is released, you will be asked to come and submit it @ UNICAL Zellence Office and your screening score will be giving to you then. If you really CNN cut off mark, UNICAL will simply admit you into your dream course in 1st admission list*

*Finally, I shall go to the admission office today after my lectures today, to do some things and to get some info which I shall also update us with later........So, I want each and everyone one of us to relax our minds and how how events unfolds this year.......I will also be around in campus even after my lectures because of some things I'm handling for some of you (you know yourselves).....*

Application for lodge space during your screening at the University Of Calabar Hotel is currently ongoing, this is the most comfortable and cheapest lodge you can see close to the University Of Calabar main campus because it's federal and not private and is owned by the University Of Calabar and so far about 20+ persons have applied for a space through me for FREE, for your information Calabar is a very expensive place to live in (you can ask any malabites/Malabress, they'll tell you better) The cheapest room room here in the University Of Calabar Hotel is N6,500 for Single/Common Room, N7,500 for Double/Normal Room etc mainwhile the hotel is charging N1,500 from each interested jambites for her single room which comprises of 4 persons per room, now if you can do a little maths here you'd see that there's a shortage of N500 in hotel bill for single room (This is to show that the University Of Calabar Hotel is rendering help to her prospective Malabites and malabresses and not for lodging sake), whereas private hotels here in Calabar charge close to N8,500 for just a single room per night and for a single persons.
