Offiong Andem Bassey Earns Prestigious Presidential Scholarship

Offiong Andem Bassey, celebrated as the youngest Otuekong in Nigeria and the youngest member of the Obong’s Council, has reached yet another milestone by becoming a recipient of the prestigious Presidential Scholarship.

Bassey is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Media and Public Relations at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. His academic journey is a testament to excellence, cultural heritage, and dedicated service to the nation.

An outstanding alumnus of the University of Calabar, Bassey graduated in 2021 as the Best Student of the Theatre and Media Studies Department and was ranked among the top five graduates of the entire university. His leadership journey began early, making history as President of the Theatre and Media Students’ Association, where he spearheaded the largest theatre induction in the institution’s history—an achievement that continues to inspire students today.
